SYNOPSIS

Ex-resistance fighters, Benedick, Claudio and Don arrive at Leonato's restaurant in Messina. Beatrice (Leonato's niece) and Benedick clearly have some history with each other and enjoy bickering - but is there more to their relationship than banter? Claudio falls in love with Leonato's daughter (and devoted rock 'n' roll fan), Hero, and a wedding is soon arranged. However, Don's jealous half-brother, John, is determined to cause trouble for Claudio and, together with his troubled girlfriend, Valentina, plots to ruin the reputation of the pure and innocent Hero. Can cleaners and keen neighbourhood watch members, Dogberry and Verges, help to sort out the mess and can Don and his friends plot to fix Beatrice and Benedick up as a couple …?
